The Beeb is forging ahead with its commitment to new content as CBBC takes on two new series for its core six to 12 viewers.
Game show Keep Your Enemies Close brings partners friends and enemies together, as four sets of best friends are split up and forced to work with their enemy, as the newly formed teams must complete a series physical and mental challenges. With gradual elimination of the pairs of enemies getting, the remaining duo will be reunited with their best friends and tackle their rivals.
The 26 x half-hour series is made by BBC Productions, Children’s, with executive producer Annette Williams at the helm.
Also joining the CBBC slate is the 13 x 28-minute series The School of Silence. Each ep will bring four noisy kids to the School of Silence where they’ll be put through intensive silent training to keep absolutely quiet whilst carrying out hilarious challenges designed to make them laugh, scream and shout. The last person standing graduates and wins The Golden Gobstopper.
The series is produced by Lucky Day Productions, with executive producer Melissa Hardinge for the Beeb and Damon Pattison for Lucky Day overseeing ops.
