Looking to provide more affordable playthings for kids in the wake of the economic downturn, toy retailer Toys ‘R’ Us has launched $1-$2-$3 Fun! feature shops across the US.

Located at the front of its stores, each shop features an assortment of 100 items priced at US$1, US$2 or US$3 with featured themes and products that’ll be refreshed on an ongoing basis. The current offering includes dinosaurs (dino eggs, glow-in-the-dark figures, stickers and key chains), fun toys (tic-tac-toe, puzzles, foam darts, a wind-up fishing game, etc), princess dress-up (mirrors, rings, necklaces and tiaras, purses, wands and shoes), musical instruments and art tools.

The shop will also feature a party favor section, with bracelets, bubbles, rubber ducks, stickers, whistles, bendable figures and more.
