Toronto-based prodco Portfolio Entertainment and Canuck kidnet Teletoon are entering development on animated comedy-adventure series Hood.
The half-hour series carried out via blended animation styles, zeroes in on the exploits of a secret global teen organization with super-charged hoodies. Created by Howie Shia, the Grand Prix winner of the 2007 Tokyo Anime Fair and KidScreen Hot Talent, with story editor Mark Leiren-Young, Hood targets a tween audience, and Portfolio will be looking into digital content to support the series.
