Canadian homegrowns Degrassi: The Next Generation and Instant Star are gaining in international exposure, thanks to a raft of broadcast deals just inked by their L.A.-based distributor, Echo Bridge Entertainment.

Degrassi is set to migrate to Poland’s Canal+ Cyfrowy (seasons seven and eight), Canal J in France (season 7) and Spain’s Antena 3 (seasons four and five). Echo Bridge will be introducing season eight, which is currently in production as 22 half hours, in Cannes next week.

Canal+ Cyfrowy has also picked up Instant Star (season four), along with Israel’s Noga Communications (seasons one through eight), MTV in Spain (seasons one through three), Spain and Andorra’s Antena 3 (seasons one through eight), MTV Networks in Spain and Andorra (season four) and France’s Canal J (season four).

Echo Bridge inherited the two series when it bought the Alliance Atlantis distribution catalogue last April.
