Looking to give viewing-impaired kids the same video experience other American children have, Boulder, Colorado-based prodco Big Green Company is rolling out video descriptions from the National Captioning Institute for its TV series Big Green Rabbit.
Made possible with grant money from the US Department of Education, the Descriptive Video Information (DVI) package is to be added onto the 13 eps of Big Green Rabbit that will be available to public TV stations starting March 23. DVI is also available on the Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) channel.
Big Green Rabbit, which has attracted more than six million hits on YouTube, encourages families to make healthy choices for themselves and the planet.
