Petz will definitely be allowed at QSR biggie Wendy’s, as a first-time promo deal with game publisher Ubisoft is pairing up licensed premiums based on the video game title with its Kids Meal starting March 23 in the US and Canada.

The restaurant chain is offering five exclusive Petz items inspired by Ubisoft’s game brand for the Nintendo DS, which lets kids create and care for their virtual animals, ranging from breeds of dogs, cats, horses and others.

The themed Kids Mealbags will be branded with characters from the Dogz and Catz games, and will include activity games from word scrambles and puzzles. It’ll also come with a discount coupon for Petz Dogz Pack for Nintendo DS or Petz Sports for the Wii. Inside the package, kids will find either the Petz Catz or Petz Dogz PC game, a Catz toy balancer ball, a Dogz plush toy, or a Petz-themed card game.

Running for five weeks at participating restaurants while supplies last, the promo will also see online support at Wendys.com and in-store signage. The two partners will also be promoting the campaign on a micro-site with three new, exclusive and co-branded mini-games.
