With just weeks to go before MIPTV, The Jim Henson Company has inked a raft of Euro broadcast deals for its preschool series Sid the Science Kid.

Now on-board to air the 40 x 30-minute curriculum-based series are pubcasters France 5 and RTP in Portugal. Meanwhile, Spain’s Selecta Vision will take on all broadcast sales, as well as L&M activity for the territory.

Al Jazeera has snapped up the pan-regional broadcasting license for the Middle East, while Noga Communications takes rights for Israel.

Back on the other side of the ocean, Mexico’s Exim Licensing has taken on broadcast sales and L&M rights for the country, and the American Forces Network has been granted broadcast license outside the US.
