With new music and gameplay modes, Konami Digital Entertainment is joining the smartphone gaming ranks, bringing its hit DanceDanceRevolution franchise to the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The 26-song and 18-character music rhythm game has been designed to take advantage of the Apple device features like the Accelerometer and Multi-Touch interface. Players can select from three different modes. Shake Mode, for example, uses the Accelerometer, where players shake the handset in the direction of the arrows, Game Mode appeals more for experts and Training Mode is built for DDR novices who can get used to the game’s tempo with a metronome and other tools.
