On March 12, the Federal Trade Commission will be hosting a free public forum in Washington D.C. called Ad It Up! Kids in a Commercial World with the goal of gathering input for its upcoming education program on advertising literacy for tweens.

Ad and kid marketing experts will be on hand at the forum, discussing issues such as what kids experience in the commercial world, what they understand about their experience, and what consumer education efforts will help them to better navigate the commercial world.

The agenda and other details are available at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/workshops/aditup, and the forum will be held at the FTC’s satellite building conference center, at 601 New Jersey Avenue, N.W. in Washington, DC.

Members of the public and press who cannot attend can view a live webcast of the workshop on the FTC site at www.ftc.gov.
