Jakks Pacific’s is harnessing some celeb marketing power courtesy of a new deal between the toyco, the Food Network and CAA that will see Ace of Cakes‘s star baker Duff Goldman featured on its new Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery line.
The follow-up to Jakks’ bestselling Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker lets little chefs safely bake mini two-tiered cakes in the microwave for 30 seconds with minimal clean-up, and then lets them decorate their baked goods with fondant and a decorator gun and candy garnishes. The Cake Bakery product line (SRP US$34.99) targets kids eight and up and is set to launch at retail this fall. Ace of Cakes airs on the Food Network every Tuesday and Thursday night.
