Taffy Entertainment has inked a worldwide distribution deal with Australia’s SLR Productions for animated comedy series Gasp. Additionally, Taffy has sold the 52 x 11-minute series to Canal+.
The distribution deal covers all territories with the exception of Australia, New Zealand, China and parts of Southeast Asia. Gasp, based on the comic book series by Australian author and illustrator Terry Denton, is told from the point-of-view of a goldfish, and delves into family relationships through the adventures of pets left at home. Currently in production, the first eps will be ready for a June delivery and set to air in spring 2010.
The series is produced by SLR Productions, in association with Screen Australia, Network Nine Australia, ABCKids, Agogo and Taffy Entertainment.
