Since acquiring Holland-based Telescreen back in December, German media and licensing agency m43 has set about restructuring its exec ranks.
Production, TV and new media distribution for both companies will be merged together, with Telescreen taking responsibility for international distribution of TV and new media rights for m4e as well home entertainment outside the German-speaking territories.
Sjoerd Raemakers is now head of distribution and Theo van der Schaaf takes over home entertainment, while both continue to act as MDs of Telescreen. A newly created content and production management division will be managed by Lisette Looman, who was previously responsible for development and production of Telescreen’s own productions. In her new role as manager of group content & production, Looman will handle content selection for development, production/co-pros and acquisition. She’ll also be responsible for m4e and Telescreen productions, now taking on the m4e project Yoko, Mo & Me, already in development.
Telescreen Licensing & Merchandising will become Telescreen Consumer Products, which has been managed by Hanny Brands, the long-standing director of Benelux Licensing. M4e’s Peter Beermann will continue in his role as director of consumer products Germany. Both Brands and Beermann will work closely together going forward, and will be jointly responsible for the acquisition of L&M rights for German-speaking territories and Benelux, as well as for new markets.
On the marketing and PR side, existing marketing managers at both companies will continue on in their roles at the company level. Joe Hofer at m4e and Linde Steverink at Telescreen will work closely together in media, PR and marketing.
