Toronto, Canada-based ToonBox Entertainment will be taking boys action-comedy toon BLIP into production, thanks to a newly sealed co-pro partnernship with Korea’s CJ Entertainment.
The sister company of CJ Powercast will also be handling part of the post-production on the 26 x 22-minute 3-D animated series, targeting kids eight to 12. CJ Powercast, meanwhile, takes all domestic media rights and will assist in international program sales in select territories.
CJ Entertainment is a motion picture studio based in Korea with a domestic film library of more than 200 films that adds 20 new titles each year. The studio also distributes films for DreamWorks and Paramount.
