The licensing program for preschool porcine heroine Olivia continues to expand around the globe, as French broadcaster TF1 has also picked up the L&M rights for the territory. Additionally, Chorion has just sealed a number of pan-Euro deals for several of its properties.
Universal is on-board to distribute new series Noddy in Toyland on DVD in France. Noddy, who celebrates his 60th anniversary this year, is also at the top of Hachette’s list its number-one licensed property in the territory and it’s set to publish 15 new titles this year. Over in Portugal, media group Lusomundo has nabbed the DVD rights for Noddy in Toyland.
For Mr. Men and Little Miss, Chorion signed a pan-Euro deal with Victoria Couture for cashmere and silk garments. Global Licensing in the UK will bring apparel based on the property to Tesco, while Wesco will rollout a gift range, including clocks and watches, and Worlds Apart is producing a room décor range that also includes soundchips.
In Spain, United Labels will launch a Mr. Men gifts and apparel line, while in Portugal, retail group Sonae is producing Mr. Men adult and children’s apparel for fall/winter of this year.
