With the sequel to the hugely popular Transformers film set to rollout this summer, Activision is on board to publish the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game.

Gamers can take charge of various Autobots or Decepticons in the new title, selecting missions and switching between vehicle and robot as they fight their way through each level, either as a single player or through multiplayer modes by logging on to the web to battle friends.

Luxoflux is on board to develop the game for Xbox 360 and PS3, Beenox Studios for Windows PC, Krome Studios for the Nintendo Wii and PS2, and Savage Entertainment for the PSP. Meanwhile, Vicarious Visions will be developing two different titles for the Nintendo DS, where gamers can take on Autobot or Decepticon-specific challenges.
