Spellbound Entertainment is bringing its animated preschool series to the Spanish market in a new deal brokered by prodco and distributor Imira Entertainment, which is also handling L&M rights to the property in the region.

Spain’s TVE has snapped up the free-TV rights to all 39 x half-hour eps of The Koala Brothers.

On the licensing side, Planeta Junior has taken publishing rights for the property and will roll out novelty, coloring and activity books, and Big Picture Entertainment is handling home entertainment distribution for the series in the territory. Product is expected to launch at retail this fall, with a full rollout planned for 2010.
