With more than 40 years of cumulative experience, David Wollos and Joan Packard Luks have teamed up to form media, marketing and licensing company. As such, ThinkTank Emporium will focus on children’s and family properties.
The duo will be looking for media exploitation, licensing and retail opps through published books, unpublished manuscripts, television pilots and toy products.
Wollos comes to the newly formed company with more than 26 years of experience in sales marketing, licensing, acquisitions, distribution, and management in the TV, home video and motion picture industries. He served as president of the David Wollos Company (TDWC), and a founding partner of Entertainment Media Consultants (EMC), where he provided consulting services. He previously held the role of SVP of sales and operations for Sunbow Productions.
Luks, meanwhile, has more than 20 years of licensing and CP business under her belt, having worked for Colorforms and holding post as director of licensing for Gund, developing partnerships with Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Disney and Warner Bros. She’s also a founding partner of The Serenata Group, a licensing agency that launched such brands as Emily Goes Wild, Jidousports and Cranky Bears.
