Stockholm-based licensing agency Plus Licens has taken on the worldwide merch, promo and publishing rights to preschool property City of Friends.
The Norwegian IP, with the original title Vennebyen, comes from CreaCon Entertainment as a CG-animated series, which has been sold to broadcasters in Scandinavia and Finland.
Created by Carl Christian Hamre, sales of the 26 x 10-minute series to other territories are ongoing and Disney is already on-board to distribute the DVD in the Nordic region.. The series is preliminary planned for television and DVD launch in the Nordic countries in 2010. Sales to other territories are also underway.
