Jumping from the world of home video to broadcast, Stephen Moore has joined the ranks of Disney-ABC-ESPN as the new EVP and GM of its EMEA operations.
As of next month, Moore will be charged with overseeing program, channel and new media activities across EMEA and Canada in all platforms, including terrestrial, pay, cable/satellite and all technologies such as DTT, VOD, broadband, and mobile. He’ll play a key role in driving distribution and revenue growth for Disney’s channels, TV and film content, and leading deal negotiations. In addition, he’ll help Disney develop overall media growth strategies and support its key franchise properties. Based in London, he’s reporting to Ben Pyne, president of global distribution for Disney-ABC Worldwide Television and Disney Media Networks.
Moore comes to Disney-ABC from UK-based home entertainment distributor Abbey Home Media, where he was a partner. Prior to that, he held posts at Aardman Animations as COO and head of features, managing its commercial activities, and Twentieth Century Fox International as president. There he oversaw Fox’s international theatrical and home entertainment biz and operations outside of the US.
