Entertainment Rights’ studio-based live entertainment series starring funny fox Basil Brush has been picked up by CBBC for another go-round.
The Beeb has commissioned a second season of Basil’s Swap Shop, slated for a 12-week run on Saturday mornings on CBBC. Along with taking in the series’ antics, kids will also get an opportunity to swap live or online at the swap shop at www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc. At the site, they can recount details of their swap and then qualify for a chance to appear on the show. Basil’s website (www.basilbrush.com), meanwhile, has received more than 40 million hits and has regularly pulled in 33,000 + unique users each month, since its launch in September 2006.
