With more than 2.5 million accounts created so far for the beta version of Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall, CN New Media’s is gearing up to launch the full version of the MMOG through online and retail channels.

Developed with Grigon Entertainment, FusionFall allows players to team up with friends and more than 50 anime-inspired Cartoon Network characters to save the world from an alien invasion and restore order to the CN universe.

The game is a blend of 3-D console platforms, and customization (players can create their own avatars), as well as the open-ended exploration aspect of an MMORPG. Though there’s a free play area in the Future Zone area at www.FusionFall.com, the E10 rated game is subscriber-based. Prices start at US$5.95 per month, and a family plan that offers four connected accounts is US$9.95 per month, though there are also discounts available for multi-month and yearly subscriptions.

A Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall Victory Pack Exclusive is also available at retail shops for US$19.99 from Majesco Entertainment, which comes with a four-month online subscription, a game guide and codes for two exclusive outfit and weapon sets.
