Montreal, Canada-based Toon Boom Animation has closed a deal that will see it acquiring Cambridge Animation Systems and the Animo product line.
The acquisition Toon Boom further consolidates its strong position as a leading service provider to the international animation industry, bring Animo’s European and Asian customers into the fold.
Toon Boom currently provides animation software solutions for creative professionals, students, educations and schools, offering products to indie animators and TV and film studios, as well as consulting services.
Toon Boom’s clients include Nelvana, Warner Bros. and Alphanim. Productions animated via the company’s technology include Les Triplettes de Belleville, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and Simpsons: The Movie.
