Fitzroy Media has signed on Renegade Animation to design and produce the animation based on tween and adult-targeted feline Heathcliff.
With pre-production beginning this month on 50 x two-minute Heathcliff interstitials, Renegade is also developing an updated look for an animated DVD special, which will focus on Heathcliff’s comic adventures, driven by a club-music sound.
Under agreement with cartoonist Peter Gallagher, who writes and draws the cat comic strip, Fitzroy is continuing to develop animated feature films, direct-to-DVD releases and location-based entertainment projects, while also seeking L&M opportunities, for the surly feline.
