Chorion launches Gaspard & Lisa with TF1

With already established roots in France, Chorion's 52 x 11-minute animated series Gaspard & Lisa, based on the bestselling French book series, will hit the airwaves on TF1 in 2010.

With already established roots in France, Chorion’s 52 x 11-minute animated series Gaspard & Lisa, based on the bestselling French book series, will hit the airwaves on TF1 in 2010.

As the lead broadcaster, TF1 has picked up L&M representation for the property, and is aiming to have key categories such as toys and games, apparel and a gift range, bolstered by existing publishing activity, roll out to French retail following the broadcast debut.

The property is already a retail licensing success in Japan, with product targeting young women and females.

Hachette Livre, the original publisher and worldwide publishing owner of the property, with 25 books translated in more than 15 languages. Gaspard and Lisa are two nearly inseparable and innocent six-year-olds who go through each day facing unexpected obstacles that lead to trouble.
