To maximize its brand extension opportunities, London’s Walker Books is taking its European licensing program for Lucy Cousins’ modest and charming mouse Maisy in-house.

All European and Australian licensing rights for Maisy, along with Lucy Cousins’ catalogue of brands, will be handled by Walker’s licensing division as of this month. Meanwhile, Copyrights Asia will continue to rep all categories for Maisy in Asian territories, while RJM Licensing will rep categories in the US and Canada. Universal’s broadcast and home entertainment rights are also unchanged.

Walker licensing director Judy Burdsall is directly overseeing Cousins’ brands across all categories. With new books set to be published this year, Burdsall is looking at working with existing licensees as well as bringing new ones on board. Interested parties can contact her at 44-207-396-2410 or judy.burdsall@walker.co.uk.
