To further bolster its European presence, Germany-based media company and licensing agency m4e has acquired 100% of Dutch kids and family entertainment hub Telescreen.
Telescreen, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, currently handles rights for Miffy, Moomin and Lizzie McGuire in the Netherlands and runs an L&M business, repping third-party properties in Benelux, including Teletubbies, Shaun the Sheep and Roary the Racing Car.
Under the new deal, Telescreen will retain responsibility for the properties in its portfolio, as well as helming the international distribution arm for m4e’s future productions, co-pros and acquisitions, allowing m4e to expand its third-party biz and distribute properties outside of its home territories of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
