The UK’s Children’s Media Conference has launched a brand-new event that aims to connect players in the kids publishing and media industries. The new CMC Rights Exchange will take place on November 7 at Two Temple Place in London.
The one-day event will bring together delegates from across the kids industry to meet potential partners and and negotiate new partnerships.
Conference-style sessions will take place the morning of the event, featuring case studies and executive opinions on new ways to build content brands and partnerships. The sessions will also spotlight different perspectives in the kids’ media industry concerning the future of delivering authors’ works across platforms.
Attendees can book one-on-one meetings for the event, using CMC’s Meeting Mojo booking system, which lets delegates add detailed profiles.
The media partner for the CMC Rights Exchange is The Bookseller, a business magazine for the book industry. The event itself will be managed by CMC, who recently ran its annual children’s content last month. This year’s conference had attendances from 1001 delegates and over 200 speakers.
The CMC also organizes the UK@Kidscreen delegation. The CMC took over 65 delegates to the US for Kidscreen Summit in 2014. Reported business at the event was over US$58 million.
