New slew of deals for Parthenon Kids

Marie Chappelow has been settling into her role nicely as commercial director of Parthenon Entertainment, helping to strike a number of broadcast deals lately.

Hana’s Helpline has been sold to Synapse (Brazil), Hakka TV (Thailand) and RTV (Slovenia), the latter of which also includes other series from Welsh broadcaster S4C, such as Bibi Ball, Little Engine that Could, Santa’s First Christmas, Sali Mali and Star Hill Ponies. RTV and SVT (Sweden) have also picked up Little Entertainment Company’s Billy and RTE (Ireland) snapped up children’s film drama Roman Mysteries.

Meanwhile, Jakers! has been re-licensed to SVT, S4C, RTE (Ireland), TF1 (France) and a DVD distribution agreement in Scandinavia with Svensk Filmindustri for the series has been renewed. SF will also license the DVD rights to a seasonal special from Brave New World Films, A Child’s Christmas.

PIWI France picked up Penguin’s First Christmas and Sun Media Korea has taken DVD rights for some S4C programs.

Finally, Al Jazeera has picked up Bibi Ball, Animated Tales of the World and Animal Crackers.
