Dentsu’s US-based division DCI Los Angeles is expanding anime property Deltora Quest across the globe with a raft of new broadcast and L&M deals.
The Licensing Machine, a division of Panini UK, has picked up broadcast, video game and merch rights for Western Europe, including the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Eastern and Central Europe, Africa and Nordic countries. And for Mexico, Central America and South America, Castalia Communications Corporation is signed on for broadcast and video games.
The Deltora fantasy book series spans three series and 15 books by Australian author Emily Rodda. It’s sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and published in more than 30 countries. The 52-episode series, a mix of hand-drawn cel animation and CGI, is produced by OLM. DCI-LA, The Licensing Machine, and Castalia are now looking for more partners outside of Asian territories.
