Treats are in store for Malibu, California-based toy company Jakks Pacific as it preps to boost its presence in the Halloween industry with the acquisition of costume and décor company Disguise.
Disguise, a subsidiary of France-based César, is a 21-year-old manufacturer with a portfolio of top licenses, including Disney, Marvel and Mattel properties. The company also makes dress-up items in addition to Halloween costumes, which should complement the output from Jakks’ role-play division, CDI.
The acquisition is expected to be completed next month. Jakks did not disclose the terms of the deal.
