A new multi-year deal will see UK HD service Sky+HD broadcasting Disney Cinemagic, the first Disney-branded channel in HD format in the territory.
The channel, which airs the latest Disney/Pixar movies alongside Disney movies and series, will broadcast the majority in high definition and will be available to Sky+HD customers with a Sky Movies subscription. The Christmas schedule includes the most current hits from its library such as Ratatouille and Tinkerbell. New Year’s will include Sleeping Beauty and The Incredibles.
Disney Cinemagic originally debuted in the UK in March 2006 on the Sky premium package, premiering Meet the Robinsons and 101 Dalmatians. Sky+HD, with its 28 channels, launched in May 2006 and is currently in half a million homes
