Chorion and China-based Shanghai Media Group have inked an agreement to develop new animated programming.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will focus on projects targeting kids age six to 11.

Chorion and SMG will appoint co-development directors based in New York and Shanghai, respectively, and conduct creative summits in New York next February and in Shanghai the following June.

In a separate agreement, SMG has become Chorion’s business partner in China for the much-anticipated new preschool television series Olivia.
