London-based licensing agency, CPLG has scooped up licensing rights to National Geographic Kids’ Mama Mirabelle’s Home Movies in the UK, France and Benelux.

The preschool series, a mix of 2-D animation and live-action archival footage from Nat Geo and BBC, centers around Mama Mirabelle, a maternal elephant who gathers a cast of baby animals from around the world to the African savannah to watch home movies of themselves.

The series is a National Geographic Kids Entertainment, CBeebies and King Rollo Films co-production. It airs twice daily on CBeebies and is also shown on VRT (Belgium), Tiji (France) and will launch on Gulli (France) in early 2009. Worldwide distribution is being handled by National Geographic Television International, which has sold Mama Mirabelle’s Home Movies into 142 territories.
