Entertainment Rights is putting Little Golden Books’ The Poky Little Puppy and his pals Saggy Baggy Elephant and Tootle the Train back in the spotlight with a new softlines merch program.

Announced today at MAGIC, taking place this week in Las Vegas, the new Little Golden Books CP program will feature juniors sleepwear and loungewear (Briefly Stated), T-Shirts (Giant Merchandising), accessories (BioWorld Merchandising), fabric (Cranston) and Halloween costumes (CSS Industries). The new products should roll out at US retailers in early 2009.

The new goods will join those currently at US retailers from longstanding Little Golden Books licensees, including American Greetings (social expressions), Brainytoys (master toy), Briarpatch (puzzles and card games) and Galison/Mud Puppy Press (puzzles and mini-cube puzzles).
