As a part of their new partnership, Danish toyco LEGO and Warner Bros. Consumer Products are developing a collection of building sets based on the iconic Scooby-Doo franchise for the first time.

The Scooby-LEGO collection is set to launch in US toy stores this August. Five building sets, with SRPs ranging from US$14.99 to US$89.99, are planned for the initial LEGO lineup.

In addition, a 22-minute LEGO TV special, featuring Scooby, is being produced in partnership with Warner Bros. Animation for release later this year. Warner Bros. has also signed on to create direct-to-video LEGO movies featuring Scooby-Doo, which will roll out via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in the coming years.

The Scooby-Doo franchise is also getting a reboot with new 22-minute series Be Cool Scooby-Doo!, slated for a 2015 launch on Cartoon Network. The new series is the 12th TV incarnation of the Hanna-Barbera classic. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the new show follows the exploits of “those meddling kids” during their last summer together after high school.
