One-liners: Noteworthy news nuggets

· Turner Broadcasting has acquired a fourth series of live-action comedy series Life with Derek, due to air on Boomerang UK in 2009. The 18 x half-hour series bolsters Turner Broadcasting's live-action slate, following the recent commission of a second series of My Spy Family launched last fall.

· Toei Animation's animated series Digimon Data Squad and Dragonball GT are both making their way back to RTL2 in Germany. RTL2 has acquired 48 half-hour eps of Data Squad and 64 half-hour installments of Dragonball GT.

· East Windsor, New Jersey-based Kids Preferred has signed on to create
developmental plush of the Lion Family, stars of PBS Kids' Between the Lions. The new plush will be introduced at the Fall Toy Preview taking place between October 9 and 12 in Dallas, Texas.
