One-liners: Noteworthy news nuggets

• Nick Jr. has picked up a second season of the animated preschool series Ni Hao, Kai-lan. The net has ordered 20 new half-hour episodes of the series that introduces preschoolers to Mandarin language and Chinese culture.

• Disney-ABC International Television and South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) have concluded a new free-TV volume agreement for a wide range of content that, among other things, will keep the global hit Hannah Montana on the South African airwaves.

• Montreal, Canada-based T-Shirt Connection has signed on as the Canadian apparel licensee for Cookie Jar Entertainment's Caillou.
