Dallas, Texas-based NCircle Entertainment has picked up the North American home entertainment and digital distribution rights for classic stop-motion animated series The Adventures of Gumby from Premavision and Clokey Productions.

The deal includes all 209 episodes of the series. NCircle will distribute Gumby content across the US and Canada, and is set to roll out its first offering on September 22 with the DVD release of The Gumby Show: The Complete 50s Series.

Now in his 60th year, Gumby was created by clay animation pioneers Art and Ruth Clokey in 1955 and premiered on US television in 1956. Gumby’s various series have since aired in 146 countries.

The iconic green character is set to return to TV screens in a new stop-motion series from The Jim Henson Company and Premavision sometime in 2016.
