Perhaps driven by the renewed popularity of Full House on Netflix, Nickelodeon has acquired the rights to the library of TV series, movies and specials featuring the classic sitcom’s breakout actresses who jointly portrayed Michelle Tanner, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Nick has picked up several TV series from the twins’ company Dualstar Entertainment Group, including The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley (11 episodes), You’re Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley’s (10 episodes); So Little Time (26 episodes) and Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action! (26 episodes, animated).
On the TV-movie side, the kidnet has licensed stand-alone titles Mary‐Kate & Ashley’s Fashion Forward, Our Lips Are Sealed, Winning London, Holiday in the Sun, When in Rome, Getting There: Sweet 16 and Licensed to Drive and The Challenge.
Nickelodeon will kick off the Olsen-fest with So Little Time on Monday April 27, with additional episodes airing every weekday. Following their linear launches, the series and movies will move onto Nickelodeon’s digital platforms.
