Upstart Spanish distributor Ypsilon Films is making waves again in the US market. On the heels of its first State-side deal inked last month, which will see preschool series 7Pets debut on Hispanic public broadcaster V-Me April 7, Ypsilon has just sold Nanigugu (52 x 2.5 minutes) to HD children’s channel Animania.
A CGI offering for preschoolers, Nanigugu stars two friends who discover that changing the shape of clouds is a good way to communicate with one another. The short series comes from Spanish production studio Pataboom and is distributed worldwide by Ypsilon Films, which was founded last October by Neptuno Films distribution exec Roberto Mitrani.
