Multi-lingual online channel Oznoz is going on an original programming drive. The OTT kid-targeted service is set to debut its first Oznoz Original, a miniseries called Lili & Lola from Vancouver, Canada-based Big Bad Boo Studios.

Launching today on Oznoz in Persian (Farsi), the SVOD service will debut new eps each Wednesday. Produced by Oznoz owners and co-founders Shabnam Rezaei and Aly Jetha, who also own Big Bad Boo Studios, in collaboration with the Canadian Media Fund, Lili & Lola follows the adventures of sisters Lili and Lola. Living in a small apartment in a big multicultural city, the sisters’ daily adventures showcase a diverse world and cultural celebrations, such as Norooz, the Iranian New Year.

The miniseries will also air on Canadian multicultural channels ICI Television Montreal, Shaw Multicultural Channel and TenTV Toronto.

English, French and other language releases of the series are currently in the works for Oznoz. In addition to the miniseries, there is also a set of iOS apps and games, which will support a preschool-focused literacy curriculum.

While Lili & Lola is the first Oznoz Original, the platform also streams shows like Sesame Street, Thomas and Friends and others in languages including Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese, Persian and German. In 2014, the digital platform inked a multi-lingual mega-deal with Nelvana for 400 half hours of programming, including Babar and the Adventures of Badou, Franklin, Beyblade and Bakugan.
