Viacom International Media Networks’ VP of international brand management Charlotte Castillo has been promoted to SVP of brand management and creative for Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP).
Based in New York, Castillo will continue to oversee the strategic development, planning and creative for all marketing activities around Viacom’s consumer products business outside the US.
She will also lead NVCP’s multiplatform brand initiatives for its hit global kids properties including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol.
Castillo joined VIMN in 2010 after stints as Nickelodeon’s senior director of consumer marketing and senior director of marketing and planning.
The promotion comes on the heels of a programming exec shakeup at Nickelodeon UK last month that saw Alison Bakunowich take on a new role as VP, head of editorial, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland, and Alan Musa take on an increased role overseeing rights and delivery across all platforms as part of his VP, commercial director Nickelodeon UK & Ireland title.
