Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana has secured new television deals that will see the animated preschool series Trucktown (pictured) reach Latin American and Quebec-based French Canadian viewers for the first time, while hit series Mike the Knight will get bigger audiences in those regions.

Discovery Latin America has snapped up 80 x 11-minute Trucktown for Discovery Kids and has also acquired the third season of Mike the Knight, including the series’ second hour-long special, Mike’s Bravest Mission.

In Canada, Société Radio-Canada (SRC) has picked up Trucktown as well as Mike the Knight season three, plus both of the brand’s 60-minute specials, Journey to Dragon Mountain and Mike’s Bravest Mission.

Based on a book series by children’s author Jon Scieszka (The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, The Time Warp Trio), Trucktown debuted on Corus Entertainment’s preschool channel Treehouse in September 2014 and was the channel’s top-ranked show during its debut month. It’s since been sold to France 5′s preschool block ZouZous and Germany’s Super RTL.
