San Francisco, California-based manga/anime publisher, distributor and licensor VIZ Media has teamed up with Sony DADC’s direct-to-consumer marketing and e-commerce division, Generator, to launch an online store in the US and Canada for Japanese anime property Naruto.

Billed as a one-stop-shop for exclusive and unique Naruto merch, the web destination shop.naruto.com is stocked with a variety of licensed anime and manga products based on the IP, including toys, figures, posters, apparel, games, collectibles and accessories.

VIZ Media is the global master licensor and distributor for Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, both of which were developed into TV series and feature films. VIZ also publishes the Naruto manga series in print and digital formats.

Naruto revolves around aspiring ninja Naruto Uzumaki as he leaves his village to step up his training to become the best ninja in the land. Naturo Shippuden picks up roughly two years later, when Naruto returns to the village only to find that everyone – except for him – has been promoted up the ninja ranks.

Created by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto debuted in Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1999.
