UK pubcaster CBBC has commissioned DHX Media to produce two seasons of remote-controlled drone competition series Airmageddon (24 x 22 minutes).

Produced in association with series creators Conceive Media, Airmageddon will first air on CBBC in the new year and then on DHX’s Family CHRGD channel in spring 2016.

DHX Media is handling global distribution of the series, while DHX Brands will manage licensing opportunities and merchandising.

Airmegeddon is created by Conceive’s Steve Carsey and sees four teams compete in a series of contests to test their aerial drone-control skills. The series was commissioned by CBBC’s Cheryl Taylor and is hosted by Will Best and Rachel Stringer.
