Toronto-headquartered Temple Street Distribution has secured its first third-party content acquisition, landing the global distribution rights to the animated children’s series Ollie! The Boy Who Became What He Ate.

As exclusive global distributor, the division of Temple Street Productions, which launched in August, will rep the property across various forms of media, including merchandise and licensing.

Based on the children’s book The Boy Who Became What He Ate by Storycake’s Sheena Macrae, the preschool series is being developed and co-produced by Toronto-based Radical Sheep Productions, Mickey Rogers Media and Kids’ CBC.

The 11-minute eps will promote healthy eating through the eyes of picky protagonist Ollie, whose imagination leads him on wild adventures when he become what he eats. Ollie ultimately saves the day with super powers derived from those very same foods.
