Toys ‘R’ Us has just released the latest edition of its Guide for Differently-Abled Kids, a complimentary resource designed to help parents and friends of children with physical and cognitive disabilities buy toys that jibe with their developmental needs.
Available in all Toys ‘R’ Us locations nationwide and online at www.toysrus.com/differentlyabled, this issue of the annual features Maria Shriver (the first lady of California and Kennedy cousin) with four-year-old Katelyn Reed, who has Down Syndrome. The guide highlights more than 80 different toys, evaluated and selected with input from the National Lekotek Center, an independent, not-for-profit organization serving children with disabilities.
