Toronto’s Amberwood Entertainment has inked a master toy deal with Mattel for a line of toys and related SKUs based on RollBots, a CGI action-adventure show it’s cooking up for Canada’s YTV.
The 26 x 30-minute series is currently in full production, based on an original idea by Michael Milligan centering around a community of round robots that roll around their urban hood at extreme speeds on rollercoaster-type tracks.
There’s no word yet on when the new toys will start to roll out, but the show is launching in Canada in fall 2009.
