Deplanck to head up children’s biz at post-merger Canal +

In the wake of the Canal +/Canalsat and TPS merger, Francois Deplanck has been tapped to head up children's programs and channels at the new broadcast entity.

In the wake of the Canal +/Canalsat and TPS merger, Francois Deplanck has been tapped to head up children’s programs and channels at the new broadcast entity.
He will now be responsible for all acquisitions and development of kids fare for pay-TV channel Canal + and its offspring Canal + Family (which is slated to launch on October 20), as well as overseeing operations for cable channels Piwi, Teletoon and Planete Juniors, which just debuted this weekend.
Previously, Deplank was MD of TPS Jeunesse.
