The Beeb has unveiled a brand-new look for its core kids channel CBBC that includes a hefty number of new series, a new logo and animated IDs. The facelift is intended to bring CBBC into the multiplatform brand space, and it will now be available on BBC One, BBC Two and bbc.co.uk/cbbc, in addition to its digital home turf.
The new season kicks off on September 3 and will be heavy on interactive content, including Escape From Scorpion Island, an adventure game where 10 kids take on a variety of challenges as they compete to escape the island. Viewers will be able to set out on their own quest via an internet link from the comfort of their own living rooms.
Other highlights include the premiere of Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures and live-action/CGI hybrid The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury.
Returning to the net will be favorites Shaun The Sheep, Prank Patrol and Blue Peter.
